I Set My Friends On Fire - ASL + lyrics

Enjoy! I said, I saw it coming Where did you see it!? Where did you see it!? Why are you panting baby? Is it to hard to keep up with what you said? From the outskirts of common sense this is extremely uncommon.(anonymous voices; anonymous voices) So many lights ahead, if only we kept our eyes open. But now I understand that even if I was blind I could have clearly seen how filthy you really are. Sure. It would have been an excellent story, but I had to get up off the train. Get up, jump off with me, hold my hand and I'll explain everything. If only it was that easy story teller.. Would you mind never speaking to me again? I would like for you to remain a myth.( close the book burn it up) Tell me another lie, That it's all going to be ok, eating up every word you say, It's starting to taste good. I haven't heard one thing you have said; this whole time you were talking I was to busy picturing you dead. If I were to end abruptly, would it leave you wanting more?(wait for it, wait for it)

The Cosmo Kama Sutra: 77 Mind-Blowing Sex Positions

The Cosmo Kama Sutra: 77 Mind-Blowing Sex Positions Review

My hubby and I bought this, and it's great. I have been showing him pictures of the things we can do, and he is super excited to try them. What I love about this book in particular is it's couple friendly approach - you are not blasted with soft core porn, but also given enough information to get the idea of the how positions work. Some of the poses look like you need to be a contortionist, but really, the illustrations are to demonstrate what you are doing, not what it is going to look like in the process of the deed. This book is wonderful for inspiration you can either use their positions, or use these positions as a spring board for your own. I highly recommend this book.

What Men Don't Know About Oral Sex Could Fill a Book

Oral sex is the ultimate expression of affection between a man and a woman. You can't get more intimate than having your face buried in someone's genitals. Performing oral sex on a guy is pretty straightforward. Women are much more complicated creatures. The fact that there are so many guides and articles written about cunnilingus illustrates how much confusion there is on the subject.

Since only a small percentage of women achieve orgasm during intercourse it pays to have a backup plan. Even better, let cunnilingus be your Plan A. With women, achieving orgasm through oral sex is largely mental. Not much can happen unless the brain is engaged. And all the technique in the world won't lead to a favorable outcome if she is not properly warmed up and at ease.

Five Do's and One Don't For the Orally Challenged

• DO make it clear that you love the way she feels, tastes and smells.
• DO stress to her that there is no rush - all she has to do is relax and enjoy.
• DO start slowly - let her body language guide how fast or slow
• DO keep doing what you're doing if you hit a good spot.
• DON'T stop to ask how it's going. Breaking the rhythm is a guaranteed mood killer.
• DO use your fingers sparingly - fingers in surprising places can be both distracting and annoying.

Some men view oral sex as a one way street. If you expect and enjoy receiving you should make an effort to gain some oral skills. Ideally, couples should be able discuss what feels good in a neutral setting away from the bedroom. Imagine how great your love life will be once you have perfected the art of orally pleasing the woman in your life.

Authors@Google: Scotty McLennan

For the millions of people who identify as liberal Christians. In McLennan's bold call to reclaim ownership of Christianity, he advocates a sense of religion based not on doctrinal readings of scripture but on the humanity behind Christ's teachings. He addresses such topics as intelligent design, abortion, same sex marriage, war. torture and much, much more. As he says in the Preface, "We liberal Christians know in our hearts that there is much more to life than seems to meet the rational eye of atheists; yet we find it hard to support supernatural claims about religion that fly in the face of scientific evidence."

Spirituality and Same Sex Relationship

The one part of my life which I have never really looked at until recently was how I feel about same sex relationships. Many years ago, in 1977 I had a radio show in Australia. This was 5 years before I opened the metaphysical doorway. It was a 3 hour show every Friday morning and I was the most popular person each week on the radio. Mainly because people loved my English accent, and I realize now, that people were affected by my energy even then, as one woman had said to me, you are so comforting on the radio! I had to have a theme for my show, and I had heard a piece of music which I just loved, it was called Billitus, and I was not to know it was the music from a film about lesbians! I just loved the music. This piece of music played my show in and played it out. One day, I had a letter from a woman who told me she loved my show and would love to meet me. Her name was Elizabeth and she was married with two children. I arranged to meet her a few days after the letter arrived. (There was no email then as far as I recall) We met in town, had a delicious lunch and talked and talked. Elizabeth seemed so nice and invited me back to her house to see photo's of her children and talk further. I went along quite innocently.

During my visit to her home, she made a cup of tea for me and sat down at my feet. There she began to tell me how much she loved me, how she loved my show and wanted to be with me. I did not know what to do, because I certainly did not feel the same way. I also felt embarrassed, deeply embarrassed. I was married with children myself, I was not happy in my marriage, but the thought of being with another woman was YUK!! I could not get out of the house quick enough. She had given me a book by Karlil Gibran over our lunch, called "The Prophet" apparently I had mentioned on air I loved Gibran's writing, and did not have a book. I left the book behind in my effort to leave the house as quickly as I could. When I got home, I felt sick, I also felt "dirty" as if I had been invaded. Elizabeth tried to contact me at the radio station by phone, but I refused to take her calls. She sent the Karlil Gibran book by mail, with a nice card; I threw it in the bin. I cannot believe I did it now, but at the time I was so confused and embarrassed. It was as if the book was a part of what had taken place. I changed the music also in the show to something quite different. I shut the experience completely out of my mind and got on with my life, moving house and area a few years later.

After my experience with Elizabeth, many years passed without my having to face the issue again. Meantime the Aids issue became big, and then waned off. It was considered if you were gay as these relationships were known as, that you would get Aids. However, I was getting on with my life, experiencing a recession where I was a major player, and discovering metaphysics. I met quite a few gay people during this time, but kept on the outside of their energy, as I was so frightened what had happened before, would happen again. When I became a clairvoyant reader I had a few clients who were gay and the energy I channeled for them was so filled with love and understanding, but still myself, I had huge difficulty in understanding them. When Maitreya entered my life, one of the first things he began teaching me was love for all humanity no matter who. I had always had love in my heart for everyone, but this issue of gay people was a big block for me to get by.

Maitreya taught me that love in any form was the most beautiful thing people could have. He also taught me about sexual pleasure and how important it was for our spiritual/higher consciousness development, but also for OUR pleasure. Personally I had never had an orgasm; I had to admit I was very inexperienced in the sexual area. In fact to be honest I was downright embarrassed at the talk of sex, and at doing anything other than what basically my parents did. Maitreya led me to books which explained sex in a whole new way; He taught me through many different ways about sexual energy, once leading me through the tease of a book in a shop window on tantric sex, into a shop where I had to ask for the book. The shop was very busy and the owner said very loudly when I asked for the book in the window "Oh the book on tantric sex." which made everyone look up and my cheeks to go bright red!! One day, I woke up in the morning and felt I had a Penis and testicles; it was as if etherically I did. I could feel the testicles heavy between my legs, and as the day progressed, my Penis rose at the very thought of sex or at the vision of any pretty woman who crossed my path. Thoughts of Elizabeth again surfaced. I learned what it feels like to be a man for the day, and I must be the only female who knows what the tingle feels like before a man has an orgasm. However, after one day, it was over, but not before I had learned that men are totally different to women and understanding the male energy a lot better. It was then Maitreya told me he did not like the word gay. He preferred to use the word "free." Because he said these people who had same sex relationships were free, they had freed themselves from the binding of conditioning. It took a big commitment to be free and so he wrote a teaching about this. He counseled me on the subject of same sex relationships. I told him it was OK with me, but I did not feel it was for me. He told me that was Ok but not to judge and more than ever not to be afraid of these people (which I had to admit I was.) I had been brought up by parents who called these people faggots and other such names.

I had to learn to uncondition myself which was not an easy task. However I found myself becoming more and more understanding. Maitreya brought free couples into my life to show me how their love was given and received. By now, free people were beginning to have families, and a lot of controversy was created because of this. However, I began to think after seeing quite a few couples, why should they not do this? I could see that many of them had so much love to give to children. The common thought was that the children of these couples would become free themselves, but after meeting a couple of families who had been brave and done this many years before and speaking to the children, they were as normal as other families, they just had two of the same sex people as parents. They said they had no feelings themselves for the same sex people. I was beginning to change.

As I began to relax more about same sex relationships, I found that I was becoming more and more understanding about other subjects as well. I found myself talking to free people up close, and actually not being frightened of doing so, something which in my early years would have freaked me out. I remember as a young girl, two particular people, one was a man called Quinten Crisp who when I was in England, came out and admitted he was free at a time when it was considered horrific. He was called all sorts of names and suffered terribly for doing so. Another was when Rock Hudson the film actor died and the press was desperately trying to prove he was free also. They never did at the time, but many years later, after of course many more people had come out, it was proved he was. I began to say, when I met a very handsome free person; "What a waste!" I was changing so much I could not believe it. In 1991 a friend of mine lost her husband to cancer. It devastated her. She had two young children and I realize now she could not face what had happened. I needed someone to help me on the road while I traveled, and she needed to get away. Leaving her children with some friends at the times I went away, we traveled together for me to do my readings and teaching. One evening, in the hotel room, she was crying in her bed over her deceased husband. I decided to get into bed with her and comfort her. As I lay there in bed with her, I found myself actually feeling good about this. She had her back to me, and all of a sudden I felt very loving towards her, I was also feeling sexual. She did not turn around, and eventually went to sleep. I went back to my own bed and lay there thinking about the experience. It did not frighten me, in fact it felt good. I asked myself what I would have done if something had happened. I came to the realization it would not have bothered me, I would have gone with the flow. I felt liberated!

Since that time, I have not had any desire for a female companion or partner. When I met and married Alan, I felt complete, as we are so alike. I knew there would be nobody else for me after Alan and Maitreya confirmed this. However, I was watching TV one night, and there was a new show on MSNBC called "The Rachel Maddow show" Rachel was an incredible woman, she was not only incredible, but openly free. I loved her in a non romantic way. Once again the feeling I had previously was back. However this time I openly welcomed it without fear or wanting to hide. It does not feel "bad" anymore to have that feeling, and I am certainly no longer afraid of it anymore. Do I still love Alan, you bet I do? I also know that I need a man in my life, but would I consider a woman if that were different? You bet you I would. I was thirty two when I met Elizabeth, and I am now sixty two. Thirty long years have passed, and during that time my belief system has totally changed. I cannot thank the world of spirit enough for enabling me to see this and to make the change I have done. Maitreya has said, love is love, it does not matter how it is used. I whole heartily agree.

Same-Sex Marriage and the Constitution

Same-Sex Marriage and the Constitution Review

Want to read a really good book setting out the case for the Constitutionality of same-sex marriage? This is it.

There are lots of books out there making the argument that recognition of same-sex marriage is a good idea. This is one of very few devoted solely to the case that the Constitution _requires_ such recognition. And it's very well-reasoned.

This book was being prepared for publication as _Lawrence v. Texas_ was decided, so you might think it would be outdated. But it isn't; that decision reinforces Gerstmann's analysis almost point by point.

I say 'almost' because _Lawrence_ was decided under the Due Process Clause, whereas Gerstmann thinks that fundamental rights are better regarded as founded in the Equal Protection Clause. (I disagree with him there, by the way, and I also wonder why he doesn't consider the Privileges and Immunities Clause. On the other hand, he gets extra credit for favorably considering the Ninth Amendment.)

But in the end it doesn't matter, because Gerstmann's argument is firmly grounded in the fact that the Supreme Court has long recognized the right to marry as a fundamental right. (Where that right is 'located' in the Constitution is a separate and subsidiary question.) This fundamental-right approach yields, on Gerstmann's view (and mine), a much more tenable analysis than the more common equal-protection approach. (And of course _Lawrence_ relied on a liberty-rights analysis in striking down state anti-'sodomy' laws -- which is why Gerstmann's analysis gets a fresh boost from that landmark decision.)

There are lots of other analytical treats throughout. For example, Gerstmann devotes the better part of a chapter to an argument that _Loving v. Virginia_ doesn't really provide a good analogy to same-sex marriage. He faces head-on the problems associated with judicial 'creation' of rights and offers a four-point pragmatic test for when it's okay. And he dismantles 'original intent'-based Constitutional interpretation by taking on the most capable and nuanced of its defenders.

(He also does a bang-up job setting out all the things that are _wrong_ with reliance on current Equal Protection jurisprudence. That won't surprise readers of Gerstmann's earlier book, _The Constitutional Underclass_, which I also highly recommend.)

But the best (and most important) part by far is the analysis of the right to marry as a fundamental right that encompasses same-sex marriage. This portion of Gerstmann's analysis should _gain_ in importance as post-_Lawrence_ courts address the Constitutionality of same-sex marriage bans. (And so should his argument that proponents of same-sex marriage should hold out for full-blown _marriage_ rather than, as William Eskridge has counselled, be at least temporarily satisfied with 'domestic partnerships' or 'civil unions'.)

My own opinion is that recognition of same-sex civil marriages is indeed required under the Constitution -- and since I held that opinion before reading Gerstmann's book, I may not be a good test of his persuasiveness. (I'm also a lawyer, so I can't tell you how 'readable' the book will be for non-lawyers.) But I find Gerstmann's argument cogent and, for the most part, right on the money.

Same-Sex Marriage and the Constitution Overview

The revised and expanded second edition of Same-Sex Marriage and the Constitution makes the case that the Constitution has long protected the right to marry, and that this protection includes the right to marry a person of the same gender. No other book makes this argument. This book addresses other issues, such as why same-sex marriage is completely different, both practically and constitutionally, from polygamy and incest, and it debunks the myth that pro-same-sex marriage decisions have created a backlash against either gays and lesbians or the Democratic Party.

Mothers in Sex Trade - An In-Depth Look by Two Women

"My name is Shikha Morol. That's not my real name, but I don't want to tell you my real name. This is my name here. And please don't take any pictures. I won't allow it... "

The woman in front of me sat with her head bowed. She wore a blue synthetic sari with garish floral prints and a mismatched purple blouse. She looked neat and clean but signs of poverty were evident in her work-roughened hands and broken nails. Her name, she said, was Shikha, "a little flame." She said she was 30. I was surprised. I assumed she was closer to 50. This is how one of the interviews with Sikha, a sex worker in Sonagachhi Kolkata, starts in Shamita Dasgupta and Indrani Sinha's latest book, "Mothers for Sale: Women in Kolkata's Sex Trade".

Kolkata (formerly known as Calcutta) sex workers have earned an international reputation through Oscar winning films like "Born into Brothels" (directed by Zana Briski) and their activism. Several novels have been written, several films made on these women and their lives, mostly my male writers and film makers. They portray them from different view points, sometimes as exploited women, sometimes as victims of poverty and social injustice, sometimes a lovers and sometimes just as sex objects. However, Shamita and Indrani looks at these women from a different perspective, as working mothers who sell their services to take care of their children and family.

"They tell me I am their son," says Sikha about the greatest compliment that was bestowed upon her by her in-laws. Sikha's husband, a landless laborer, killed himself few years ago leaving his parents and three children to be taken care of by Sikha, the sole bread earner. Shikha sold the milk of their cows, worked in a rice mill and picked vegetables in other people's farms, sometimes working sixteen hours a day. But she couldn't earn enough to properly feed her sons and her husband's parents and through a series of accidents had to finally chose the oldest profession of sex trade. "I came of my free will", she declared to Shamita and Indrani. She was not forced into this trade by anyone. Since she began her work in Shonagachhi, she had been regularly sending money orders to her parents-in-law for them and her three sons. But she hates this work and looks forward to the day when her children no longer need her money and she can "leave all this behind."

As per the promotional material, the book Mothers for Sale attempts to offer an understanding of sex workers as mothers that goes beyond the current debate on the viability and legitimacy of sex work for women. It highlights the aspirations and fears, joys and disappointments, triumphs and failures that sex workers share with all mothers. The book is based on information gathered from more than 750 sex workers and more than 300 of their children through detailed interviews that the authors conducted since 2006. This is not fiction or fantasy that many writers and film makers have resorted to, to portray the conditions of the sex traders. This is an objective and compassionate study of a class of working women who are trying to make a living for themselves and their children.

The authors Shamita Dasgupta and Indrani Sinha have been working for women's cause throughout their career. Shamita Dasgupta cofounded Manavi in New Jersey and is an adjunct faculty of law with the NYU Law School. Indrani Sinha founded Sanlaap in 1987 and works with women and young people fighting for their rights and protesting violence against women.

I sincerely congratulate them for their excellent work.

The book is published by A DASGUPTA-ALLIANCE PUBLICATION. The book can be ordered in the U.S. from: Global Books

The Tao of Health, Sex, and Longevity: A Modern Practical Guide to the Ancient Way (Fireside Books (Fireside))

The Tao of Health, Sex, and Longevity: A Modern Practical Guide to the Ancient Way (Fireside Books (Fireside)) Review

This was an amazing life changing book for me. I read this book before becoming an alternative healer, and I know that this book was part of my transition process. I changed many of my eating and life habits when I read this. My heath has improved. The person who originally recommended this book to me was Patrick "Rick" Fuller, a runner competing for the Olympics. Rick felt that the ideas in this book greatly improved his running performance. I highly recommend this book to all my clients.

The Tao of Health, Sex, and Longevity: A Modern Practical Guide to the Ancient Way (Fireside Books (Fireside)) Overview

Written by a Westerner for the Western mind, here is the first book to explore in light of modern science the balanced and comprehensive system of health care used by Chinese physicians, martial artists, and meditators for over 5,000 years.

Drawing on original Chinese sources and years of personal experience, the author introduces the philosophy of Tao and gives detailed, practical information on:

  • diet and nutrition, including sample menus
  • food combining, and detoxifying the body
  • specific foods and juices as treatments for a wide range of diseases (including such modern Western concerns as hypertension, cancer, infertility, herpes, and AIDS)
  • fasting and excretion
  • breathing exercises
  • physical exercises for long life, total relaxation, and general health
  • acupuncture and massage techniques
  • Taoist birth control
  • sex therapy
  • bedroom arts and techniques to ensure complete satisfaction for both partners (considered essential for good health and long life)

Rekindling Desire: A Step by Step Program to Help Low-Sex and No-Sex Marriages Overview

Is sex more work than play in your marriage? Do you schedule it in like a dentist appointment? Do you make love once a month, twice at the most? If you answered yes to these questions, you are among the forty million Americans trapped in a low-sex or no-sex marriage.

Now there is help from nationally acclaimed sex and marital experts Barry and Emily McCarthy, who for years have helped couples break down the barriers that have developed between them, and rebuild closeness and longing. Their groundbreaking ten-step program is designed to get sex and intimacy back into these marriages and revitalize relationships. Crafted by years of clinical practice, Rekindling Desire first shows couples how to root out the "poisons" that inhibit sexual desire: shame, guilt, anger, passivity, as well as medical side effects and physical dysfunctions. With sensitivity and tact, the McCarthys then lay out concrete techniques and effective strategies that help couples increase sexual awareness, confront inhibitions, revitalize desire, and integrate intimacy and eroticism.

An exciting new way to spark and sustain desire, Rekindling Desire confronts the secrecy and stigma of low-sex and no-sex marriages, teaching couples how to enjoy a fulfilling, life-long sexual partnership.

How Rushdie Fooled The West - by Sheikh Ahmed Deedat (3/12)

Part (4/12): www.youtube.com Explore Salman Rushdie's Satanic Verses: jamaat.net How Rushdie Fooled The West - A lecture by Sheikh Ahmed Deedat at the Royal Albert Hall, London. In this lecture Sheikh Ahmed Deedat exposes the filthy dirty book, Satanic Verses, of Salman Rushdie. In this lecture Sheikh Ahmed Deedat explains how Salman Rushdie insults not just Islam but also others (eg, white women, Americans, Brits, Londoners, the Queen, Hinduism etc.) and gets away with that. He also explains how primitive the language of "Satanic Verses" is. Other Comments: This is an amazing lecture. Nobody should miss this one. In his book Salman Rushdie even has sex with the Queen of England, who has knighted him in June 2007. I cannot help but ask how foolish is this Queen? Has she actually read the book in which she's violated before she knighted this foul man? Why are the anti-Islamists and so called seculiarists are on their feet to support this evil man and his work even though them and their mothers are insulted in such a filthy manner? Are they so fanatic about discrediting Islam that they would just ignore the fact that the honor of their loved ones and country is being jeopardize? Here are some texts from the "Satanic Verses" of Salman Rushdie: (1) Rushdie insults white women: "WHITE WOMEN - NEVER MIND FAT, JEWISH, NON-DEFERENTIAL WHITE WOMEN - WERE FOR FUCKING AND THROWING OVER. "(PAGE 261 TVS). In Rushdie´s perverted mind, the fate of every "white women" was for fucking and ...

Hopeful Solutions For Your Sexless Marriage - Book Review

Sex and intimacy can be a very difficult subject to talk about with your spouse at times which can seem strange when a couple is suppose to be so close to each other that these subjects should be easy to converse about. The reality is that it is difficult and can make you anxious and can often cause arguments and fights when a lack of intimacy causes problems.

'Hopeful Solutions for Your Sexless Marriage' is a downloadable guide that can help you find a way to overcome these difficulties and bring intimacy and sex back to a relationship gone cold. Dr Andrew Atwood is the author of this e-book and has some serious credentials behind him as a marriage and family therapist & social worker for over 30 years.

So what is it about this guide that can actually help a marriage or relationships struggling with a lack of sex?

Firstly, Dr Atwood has compiled a mammoth amount of information in his guide with 50 chapters in total covering an amazing variety of situations, solutions and advice that can apply to your particular situation as everyone's problems are different.

Secondly, the book is insightful on a level that goes well beyond the bedroom and really shows that these problems are not a result of the first thing that we think of ... sexuality. Covering the psychology, differences between men and women, family politics, power struggles, anxiety and much more along with the more physical aspects of a sexless marriage.

Thirdly, Dr Atwood creates a process for a couple to follow or even one dissatisfied partner. Not quite step-by-step but a good framework to make communication easier and a map to go forward to the next step to bringing back the intimacy.

Now while there are a lot of good points there are a few niggles and issues that can be found.

The large amount of information can sometimes be confusing and overwhelming if you approach it in the wrong way. Dr Atwood has constructed the book to be like a journey and you are benefited if you follow the book the way he intended but if you skip around it tends to become a mess. This is not a massive problem but you will not be able to just skip to the chapter that you want and find a solution; it is constructed as a journey not a trouble shooting guide.

Also the style of writing can be a tad silly which he does even admit on his website. He overuses the 'car journey' metaphor a bit too much which can be tiresome but it is forgivable in the context of his philosophy and his attempt to make the difficult easier to talk about.

So overall 'Hopeful Solutions for Your Sexless Marriage' is a worth downloading for those in this frustrating situation. It can be used by anyone but is best for couples seeking an answer together or a relationship where both partners are at least somewhat willing to engage in the journey with their spouse more than those who are trying to somehow cause a change without involving their partner in their schemes.

Are the Clitoris and G Spot the Same Thing? New Research Into the Way Women Orgasm

If you have read any good literature about having great sex with a girl, then you will have heard the discussion about the two major zones that make women orgasm. The most well known area is the clitoris. It is found externally and is usually the easiest way to have an orgasm with a woman, as any woman who masturbates will most likely have given herself one of these orgasms. The other kind is an orgasm from the G-spot which is internal. To stimulate this area involves penetration and a rhythmic motion on the area slightly above the pubic bone. The easiest way to stimulate this area is using the fingers in a 'come here' motion.

Pretty much everyone knows these two areas, right? Over recent years these two spots have come to represent everything about sex and sexual mastery. While this is not the whole truth (There are in fact numerous other erogenous areas inside the vagina that lead to orgasm) it is certainly an important idea.

However new research promises to rewrite everything we thought we knew about female erogenous zones.

Dr O'Connell and the New Model

If you ask most women, they will tell you that the two kinds of orgasm have a different feeling. This is really important as this lead generations of researchers to believe that they must be separate erogenous zones. The clitoris was assumed to be a small isolated area and the G-spot either a freak of the vagina's innervation or, even more bizarrely, something that didn't really exist!

The Australian Scientist Dr. O'Connell is now challenging this belief. Using sophisticated MRI technology, she is starting to unravel the mysteries of female anatomy and with it the structure of the clitoris. She was amazed to discover that the clitoris was longer than almost everyone had thought: possibly even as long as the penis!

"The vaginal wall is, in fact, the clitoris," She was quoted as saying showing a picture that traced the clitoris all the way from the visible part to the top of the labia, then back all the way to the uterus which it encircles. This was massive news for people interested in sex as it meant that every kind of orgasm from urethral to G-spot involved stimulating the clitoris.

While the proof of this theory is groundbreaking, the theory itself has been known for a long time. William Masters and Virginia Johnson (The couple who made their name with the famous sex book the Human Sexual Response) proposed the theory, but it was received poorly (Especially as the debate over whether the G-spot existed or not was still raging).

Should These Two Erogenous Zones Be Treated Differently?

Therefore is it time to stop referring to the G-spot and other similar spots such as the AFE and just call them 'front of the clitoris' and 'back of the clitoris' instead? The honest answer is that while they may well be different parts of the same erogenous zone, they are stimulated differently and give sensations that are very different. Therefore we should continue to refer to them as separate zones and use the scientific definition for discovering more about the wonders of female sexual anatomy.

Band Name Origins: Stories Behind Band Names

Did you know that the Bee Gees were named after the initials of a DJ called Bill Gates? Did you know that the real story behind the origin of the name of the rock band 10cc is much more trivial and boring than the urban legend that surrounds it? Did you ever wonder why the hell would someone choose to name his band Chumbawamba? Here you can widen your knowledge by learning about the origins or rock bands names and pop artists pseudonyms.

10cc: an urban legend claims that the band who wrote the hit I'm Not in Love has chosen her name as a gesture to the average man ejaculation, which is estimated as 9cc of sperm. As a matter of fact, the band name is originated in a dream the band manager, Jonathan King, had in which he was managing a band by the name of 10cc

Alice in Chains: Lane Stanley and Jerry Cantrell had intended to form a heavy metal band that will perform covers of Slayer while wearing dresses. Although there plan did not come out, the name of the band remained. Alice in Chains is a take off on Alice in Wonderland with an S and M twist.
Bee Gees: The Gibb brothers first had in mind the name The Rattlesnakes as a name of their band.

Later they have come up with the idea of honoring the initials of both Brothers Gibb and their close friend and one of their first supports, DJ Bill Gates, who has nothing to do with the founder mof Microsoft.

Chumbawaba: apparently, one of the band members had a strange dream, in which he could not decide which public toilet door he should enter since the Men and Women signs were replaced with Chumba and Wamba signs.

The Doors: formerly named Psychedelic Ranger, inspired by a William Blake quote: If the doors of perception were to be cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is, infinite.
Elvis Costello: was born as Declan Patrick McManus. When he had started his musical career, he adopted an alias created by a combination of Elvis Presley and Lou Costello, mainly because he represents the exact opposite of the other Elvis.

The Fall: taken from the title of a novel authored by Albert Camus.

Grateful Dead: originally named The Warlocks. The origin of the cult band final name was inspired by an old English folk tale, which themed around a traveler who is saved by the spirit of a dead person who is grateful for the travelers generosity and his willingness to pay the deads man debts in order for him to be buried.

The Happy Mondays: Shaun Rider was inspired by the happy Mondays he and the other members of the band were having as unemployed who were spending the day that follows the weekend in sleeping while the other people were off to work.

Ice T: the controversial gangsta rapper has chosen to name himself after Iceberg Slim, a famous pimp who later became an author of books that describe gangsta living.
Johnny Rotten: the Sex Pistols leader was born as John Lydon. He received a stage name that was found more suitable for an anarchist punk with a set of rotten teeth.

Kraftwerk: the pioneer electronic band adopted the German translation of the term Power Station.

    L. LL Cool J: James Todd Smith pseudonym is an Acronym for Ladies Love Cool James.

Marilyn Manson: the bandleader pseudonym mixes two of Americas favorite celebrities: Marilyn Monroe and Charles Manson. Other members of the band are using the pseudonyms Ginger Fish, Twiggy Ramirez and Madonna Wayne Gacy.

Nine Inch Nails: inspired by the nails that attached Jesus to the cross

The Orb: in Woody Allens Sleeper, there is a silver ball that causes people who touches it to react in strange ways. This device was called The Orb.

The Pogues: originally named Pogue Mahone, which is Kiss my Ass in Gaelic, the band shortened the name to avoid airplay censorship.

Queen: one word that catches both transvestite and royalty connotation was the perfect band name in the eyes of Freddie Mercury.

The Replacements: according to the myth, the punk rock band adapted the name after replacing a missing band in a gig, an incident that made them introduced themselves as The Replacements.

Sex Pistols: Malcolm Mclaren is responsible for the choice of the name, partly to help promote the clothes shop called Sex owned by Vivien Westwood who used to be his girlfriend at the time.

TLC: the initials of the band members nicknames T Boz, Left Eye and Chilli. It also suggests the acronym for Tender Loving Care.

UB40: the politically oriented band was named after a type of British unemployment form.

Velvet Underground: named after the title of an unknown sex book that one of the band members has found lying on the sidewalk
Weezer: the band front man was nicknamed Weezer in high school since he was a geek who suffered from asthma that caused him to make wheezing sounds.

XTC: this punk band was formed in 1976 long before the usage of the drug was popular. The band had changed its original name Star Park after watching a Jimmy Durante clip in which he states: Im in ecstasy!

Yeah Yeah Yeah: according to Karen O, the inspiration to the hip band name came from the New Yorker phrase, which means something like whatever.

ZZ Top: there are two versions related to the origin of the band name. According to the first one, the name of the band is a spoof on the name of the blues musician ZZ Hill. According to the second version, the name relates to a combination of two popular brands of cigarette rolling papers: Zig Zag and Tops Rolling papers.

Sex and Sensibility: Ten Women Examine the Lunacy of Modern Love...in 200 Cartoons

Sex and Sensibility: Ten Women Examine the Lunacy of Modern Love...in 200 Cartoons Review

Liza Donnelly (ed.), Sex and Sensibility: Ten Women Examine the Lunacy of Modern Love in 200 Cartoons (Twelve, 2008)

If New Yorker-style one-panels are your cuppa, then Sex and Sensibility is the dream date who just walked into the singles bar. Donnelly, herself a longtime New Yorker cartoonist, collects and catalogues cartoons (mostly one-panels) by a bevy of talented, funny women, including fellow longtime New Yorker contributor Roz Chast (whose Theories of Everything I reviewed back in 2008), Ann Telnaes, Marisa Acocella Marchetto, and a number of others. The differences between the cartoonists, and how they approach the subject matter, is often striking; you're likely to have come up with a favorite from the bunch within fifty pages. (I was most impressed with Julia Suits' brashness, which will surprise exactly no one who knows me.) But all of them are sharp (even Marchetto, whose Cancer Vixen I also reviewed, back in 2007, not nearly as positively as the Chast tome), all of them are funny, and all of them are worth your time.

Side note: as I write this, Sex and Sensibility has just one other Amazon review. I find that extremely odd for a book released by Twelve, the prestige arm of Grand Central. Come on, folks, get on the ball. You're not listening to the marketing shills! *** ½

Sex and Sensibility: Ten Women Examine the Lunacy of Modern Love...in 200 Cartoons Overview

Sex and Sensibility is a book of 150 cartoons, all by female cartoonists, that captures the zeitgeist of sex and love today. Many of these selections would never have been published ten years ago due to their being too risque or tackling subject matter that hadn't been invented yet, like sex through texting. These women offer snapshots of ourselves in love and in bed.
